Yoga

The less we say, the better it is to explain its unlimited physical and emotional benefits. Moreover, yoga is more than asanas, easily adaptable to urban lifestyles.

Pranayama

Pranayama is the practice of breath regulation. In Sanskrit ‘Prana’ means life energy, and ‘Yama’ means control. The practise involves breathing exercises and patterns.

Wholesome Meals

Ancient wisdom says “you are what you eat.” Our star chef puts together a delectable breakfast and lunch spread that’s healthy, homestyle, and good for your soul.

Pranic Healing

Developed by Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, Pranic Healing is an extremely evolved system of energy medicine. Trained practitioners channel prana (life force) to restore balance and health.

Yoga Nidra

A form of conscious, dynamic or psychic sleep, it is known to work at the most subconscious level for deep relaxation and building resolve that cannot be achieved through regular sleep.

Community

Enjoy a welcome dinner in a beautiful setting, and explore Goa in all its glory. Get together with the participants and explore the beautiful beaches of Goa in the evenings. 

Meditation

Meditation is the sustained practice of single-minded focus on a particular thought, object or task. The meditator, with practice, discovers a clearing of the mind & restored emotional calm.

Chanting

A spiritual practice of repeating a sound, word, song or prayer rhythmically. Stimulating the entire nervous system, the practice deepens concentration, awareness, calm and devotion.

Mita Vinay

Mita

I was convinced about yoga 9 years ago when after just a month of practice I was rid of acute back pain. I began to focus on fitness and health, building flexibility and strength. It was my teacher training in 2016, however, that opened me up to the real purpose of yoga - a way of life and journey to oneness. 

My second discovery was the art of mindfulness, experiencing it first-hand in Bhutan. Guided by a Buddhist monk, something magical in his speech eased me into the practice. Everything seems different since and I know that practice helps bring this into everyday life - my yoga, singing, dancing, playing with my kids, eating … the list is endless. 

Developing this awareness to be truly present at the moment is a practice I will be sharing with you when you join us.

Amar Yoga

An ERYT 500 yoga teacher, contemporary dancer and theatre artist, I've been teaching yoga for 7 years. Knowing I wanted to go deeper, I did my Masters in Yogic Sciences and a Yoga Vedanta course from Divine Life Society, Rishikesh.

Over the years I've strived to create a seamless approach in the yoga styles I teach including Hata, power, core Hata, and asana with props. My intensive training in Kalaripayattu (martial art), Bharatanatyam, Contemporary dance and Ballet from Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts has given me a strong foundation not just in anatomy and movement, but a felt sense of expression in the deeper layers of the mind and body.  

My focus for you at the retreat is to encourage a deep sense of awareness as you move about on and off the mat.

As a pranic healer, I believe healing is inevitable when one ensures sufficient time, nourishment and the right environment.   I assist my fellow souls through both Touch and Non-Touch modalities to heal mind, body and soul; the most important determiner is the intent – the distance one is willing to journey to heal the self.

Our purpose of existence is to realize the full potential of the self and live a complete life.  Our souls have both physical and subtle aspects and are part of this all-permeating matrix of vital life-energy called Prana. Whenever there is a depletion or excess of this energy flowing through our body, we experience disruption on various levels. 

My intention is to be able to help you re-integrate the physical and the subtle body to wholeness and to restore a sense of balance.
